Late Night Library's In and Out of Town Reading Series will be at Literary Arts (925 SW Washington) on Thursday, February 7. The event starts at 7:00 pm and is free and open to the public. The evening's featured readers will be Katie Arnold-Ratliff and Natalie Serber, and there will be music by Aaron Sontag and Tamara Seaton. There is a suggested $5 donation. Hope to see you
Katie Arnold-Ratliff is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. She
received her MFA from Sarah Lawrence College, and her fiction and
non-fiction have appeared in such publications as Time, Tin House, Slate, Salon, and others. A Senior Editor at O, the Oprah Magazine, where her writing appears regularly, she lives in New York.
grew up in a round red house in Santa
Cruz, California, six blocks from the ocean. She has an MFA in fiction from Warren Wilson College. Serber's work has appeared in The Bellingham Review, Inkwell Magazine, Third Coast, Fourth Genre,
and Hunger Mountain
. In addition, she has won the
John Steinbeck Award, the Tobias Wolff Award, the H.E. Francis Award, and was
shortlisted in Best American Short Stories
. Her collection of short stories, Shout Her Lovely Name
, was recently published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.
