Literary Arts seeks an Oregon Book Awards & Fellowships intern for the three months leading up to the Oregon Book Awards ceremony. This internship offers a great way to gain experience working for a community-based literary non-profit.
Oregon Book Awards & Fellowships intern (1 position)
January 13th - March 18th
4 hours a week (ideally one afternoon a week)
The ideal candidate will be able to assist at the Oregon Book Awards ceremony on Monday, March 17th,2013.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: This intern will assist the Director of Programs and Events with tasks related to the Oregon Book Awards & Fellowships programs, including, but not limited to: light copy editing, compilation of copy for event programs, some design work, blog postings, and other office tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will have a demonstrated interest in learning more about the nonprofit arts sector, an appetite for administrative work functions, some office experience and basic computer skills. The ideal candidate will also have experience with Powerpoint and InDesign.
COMPENSATION: This is an unpaid internship.
